• Paige Reveals What Triple H Told Her Before She Joined AEW

Former Divas Champion Paige (Saraya) joined AEW last year, after her contract with WWE expired.

Triple H, who is now the Chief Content Officer in WWE, was shocked to learn that WWE’s previous regime, run by Vince McMahon, let Paige’s contract expire and didn’t try to re-sign her.

During an interview with Metro, Paige confirmed the reports of Triple H offering her a General Manager position and an opportunity to wrestle again before she signed with All Elite Wrestling.

Below is what she said:

“Man, I do love Hunter. He’s so fantastic. He was like, ‘Wait, what happened?!’ I was like, ‘I dunno, they haven’t renewed my contract.’ He was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Well, I didn’t know that, so I’m sorry!’ He was really fantastic.

He did give me the opportunity to potentially be a GM again and give me the opportunity to be like, ‘If you ever potentially want to wrestle again, I’ll give you that opportunity too.’ He was very open about any ideas that I had.”

Despite this offer, Paige made the decision to sign with Tony Khan’s promotion.
