• Paul Heyman Breaks Silence on The Rock – Travis Scott WWE Fallout
WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman has acknowledged that John Cena’s high-profile storyline involving Travis Scott and The Rock unraveled unexpectedly, forcing the company to scrap the original payoff. In an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Heyman revealed:
“There was (a payoff for the Travis Scott and The Rock storyline]. It fell apart. And we moved forward without it. The whole deal with Travis Scott.”
Scott’s involvement began with fanfare during Elimination Chamber 2025, when he joined The Rock and John Cena in targeting Cody Rhodes. He later appeared at WrestleMania 41, helping orchestrate Cena’s WWE Championship victory.
Despite initial buzz, Scott and Rock never received the planned narrative conclusion, and the angle ultimately evaporated. When pressed about The Rock’s sudden absence, Heyman admitted he could not explain Dwayne Johnson’s storyline silence and encouraged fans to hear it from Rock himself.
“I don’t know what happened with Dwayne… especially at WrestleMania… I had enough on my plate,” he said.
