Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Paul Heyman and The Undertaker.
• Paul Heyman was absent from WWE programming for 5 months, after Solo Sikoa attacked him. He’s back now, and brought CM Punk back with him as the 5th member of Team OG Bloodline for the WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024.
During an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Heyman was asked about the wrestlers he worked with backstage during his on-screen hiatus.
Here’s what the WWE Hall of Famer said:
“It’s no secret because if you read some of the interviews that have been done with a number of people… be it Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, Bronson Reed, Jey Uso… it’s no secret that I’ve been working in, or Gunther, and concentrating on, and working with a lot of the young talent backstage, and I love doing it because there are so few veterans that are available at their disposal.
Right there during the show, for instant feedback, for that last moment before they go through the curtain, some observation of what could make the segment better… and I’ve survived this industry long enough, now I’m the old guy.
So, I’m the old guy that they come to because it’s like… ‘Pass some wisdom onto me, old guy!’ and I’m like, ‘Maybe if you do it this way…’ So, that’s what I’ve become, just the sensei, if for no other reason but because I have survived so many generations.”

• During an interview on Going Ringside, SmackDown Superstar Grayson Waller talked about his WWE plans for 2025:
“I think 2025 is going to be a big year, and whether that’s with Austin Theory, maybe we do our own thing — who knows? That’s the fun thing about the new year: new things happen. And especially with WrestleMania coming up in Vegas, it’s going to be massive.
So, me and Theory, right now, our focus is on those tag team championships. Whoever has them, we need to take them.
I’m undefeated at WrestleMania. People forget about that. You know, The Undertaker is not undefeated at WrestleMania, but I am, so I’m looking to continue the streak.
Well, he lost — he lost multiple times at WrestleMania. I haven’t done that, you know? The GOATs of WrestleMania don’t lose. People like me, people like Snooki, people like Nicholas — you know, the undefeated champions of WrestleMania. That… that’s our show.”
