• Old School NWA/WWF Legend Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Wrestling Legend “Hoss Funk” Dory Funk Jr. celebrates his 79th birthday.

He’s a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, just like his brother Terry Funk.

Dory (as Hoss Funk) and his brother Terry also formed a Tag Team in the World Wrestling Federation in 1986, before Terry left the promotion shortly after WrestleMania 2, which resulted in Hoss Funk teaming with their kayfabe brother Jimmy Jack Funk (CWF Veteran Jesse Barr), before Dory left the WWF as well.

Together with Terry, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 by their close personal friend “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DORY FUNK JR.!

• Paul Heyman’s Immaturity Didn’t Do Him Any Favors, Says WWE Hall Of Famer & AEW Commentator Jim Ross

During a recent edition of Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross talked about Paul Heyman’s immaturity.

Below is what Good Ol’ JR said:

“He’s amazing. He’s a Hall of Fame guy, but sometimes, to be honest with you, his immaturity didn’t do him any favors.

Sometimes, he can be indignant. He can get frustrated with people’s stupidity because he is so much smarter than other people in a lot of ways, but his communication skill set, in that era, wasn’t anything to be coveted.

He’s gotten better over the years. Obviously, he’s gotten older. He’s got teenage children, and he’s maturing. And look, there’s nothing wrong with maturing in a later age and is expected in our society.

I was 67. I know sure as hell there’s some areas of my life I have not matured yet, but I’m enjoying life so what am I gonna do.”
