8. Neville Manages To Continue His Title Reign, Possible Rematch At Extreme Rules 2017

During the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match, Austin Aries had the Last Chancery locked-in on the “King of the Cruiserweights” Neville, but Neville grabbed the referee and pushed him onto Aries to break the hold.

This lead to the referee disqualifying Neville and awarding the match to Aries via DQ, thus Neville retained the Title. Below is what WWE posted:

“Neville’s arrogance nearly cost him when he took a moment to celebrate on the ropes, giving Aries the opening to kick him to the ringside floor. The challenger seemingly had the title around his waist after connecting with a sunset flip into a powerbomb off the top rope before fluidly transitioning into a Last Chancery submission. Seeing his reign as King of the Cruiserweights fading, Neville resorted to shoving the referee, resulting in a disqualification.

Aries’ hand was raised in victory, but Neville still left with his crown intact.”

It looks like these two will face each other again for the Title at the next Raw exclusive PPV, Extreme Rules 2017.
