• New WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will appear on tonight’s post-WrestleMania 40 episode of SmackDown.
According to WrestleVotes, the following two Triple Threat Matches will take place on tonight’s show:
– Rey Mysterio vs. Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles
– LA Knight vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Santos Escobar
Winners of these two matches will face off next week, with the winner being crowned the #1 contender for the WWE Championship, who will challenge The American Nightmare for the Title at Backlash 2024 in France on May 4th.
• The record-setting 1,316-day Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign of Roman Reigns is over. However, The Tribal Chief isn’t taking rest and is back training at the gym already.
He posted a video of him doing cardio and wrote the following:
“Yesterday I mourned.
Today is Day 1.”
As of this writing, Roman’s next WWE appearance might be in a few months from now, as he is currently being advertised for the final SmackDown before SummerSlam 2024.
