Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving Bobby Lashley and Jeff Hardy.
• On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Bobby Lashley announced his entry into the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
After this Karrion Kross and the returning Authors of Pain attacked Lashley and The Street Profits.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE’s planned name for Lashley’s faction is The Pride:
“There were plans in place to name the Bobby Lashley / Street Profits faction on last week’s SmackDown, which got axed at the last second for unknown reasons.
I’m told those plans are still tentative as the direction of the trio could be shifting. The planned name for the group is ‘The Pride’.”

• As we noted in December, Matt & Jeff Hardy are frustrated by their booking in AEW.
Jeff made this clear once again when he posted a graphic for the match-card of this week’s Dynamite and wrote the following in the caption:
“We, ‘The Hardys’ will not be appearing on this live show called AEW Dynamite. We, ‘The Hardys’ are stuck in the dimension of ‘AEW Rampage’.”
The Hardys teamed up with Mark Briscoe to defeat Kip Sabian and The Butcher & The Blade in a trios match on last week’s Rampage. This was The Hardys’ first win on AEW TV in two months.
On Matt’s podcast, Jeff revealed that he feels like a ghost in AEW these days, which is exactly what he felt in WWE during his last run, where he wasn’t booked like a top star.
