In the first two seasons of NBC’s ‘Young Rock’ TV series, we witnessed a fictional scenario that included WWF Legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson running for President of the United States of America in 2032.
In 2021, there was a real-life poll that asked Americans whether they would support a potential presidential campaign for The People’s Champion, and the poll showed that 46% of adults would actually do so.
The Rock is one of the most charismatic men on this planet, so it won’t surprise anyone that more than just one political party would like him to be their candidate and represent them.
Here’s what Dwayne Johnson said during a recent appearance on Trevor Noah’s podcast:
“That was an interesting poll that occurred, and I was genuinely touched by it. I was truly astonished and felt honored. Let me share this tidbit with you.
Towards the end of 2022, I received visits from political parties inquiring about my potential candidacy and ability to run.
It was a big deal, and it came out of the blue; it was one after the other, and they brought up that poll, and they also brought up their own deep-dive research that would prove that should I ever go down that road, I’d be a real contender.
It was all very surreal because that’s never been my goal. My goal has never been to be in politics. As a matter of fact, there’s a lot about politics that I hate.”
