Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
• In the main event of this week’s RAW, Seth Rollins defeated Jinder Mahal (who was accompanied by Veer & Sanga of Indus Sher) to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins hurt his left leg late in this match. PWTorch reported that people backstage in WWE who would know about Seth’s injury aren’t commenting on his status, which could mean that it’s either bad news or WWE is going to turn this into a storyline.
Seth was then pulled from this weekend’s Live Events.
In an update, WrestleVotes is reporting the following:
“I’m told the plan of as now is for Seth Rollins to address his health & future as World Heavyweight Champion this Monday night on RAW.”
These type of segments are usually regarding bad news (like Edge’s retirement in 2011 and Roman Reigns’ cancer announcement in 2018), but Rollins vacating his World Title is just speculation right now.
UPDATE: Seth Rollins Suffered 2 Injuries On RAW
• The big topic of discussion on the road to WrestleMania 40 is which match should main event Night 2 – Roman Reigns vs. The Rock or Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes.
While the above two matches are obviously being discussed by WWE, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that another interesting match is being discussed as a possibility for the Night 2 main event: Roman Reigns vs. The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
As of this writing, plan for Roman isn’t locked.
