On this day in 1987, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.
This episode was pre-taped at the War Memorial in Syracuse, New York and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Survivor Series 1987’ PPV.

• Possible Big Match & Moment For Royal Rumble 2019
After we’re done with this Sunday’s Survivor Series 2018 PPV, the focus will shift to Braun Strowman and his quest for the Universal Championship on RAW.
Current plan is for Braun Strowman to face Baron Corbin at December’s TLC 2018 PPV. After that, word going on is that Strowman will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2019 PPV.
As we noted before, Dirty Sheets reported that WWE officials want The Rock to defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35 and then do the rematch in April at the Saudi Arabia show. However, if WWE is unable to secure The Rock, then it’s going to be Braun Strowman defeating Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
So if WWE isn’t able to work out a deal with The Rock, then Royal Rumble 2019 might be the event where Strowman finally defeats Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
