Ted DiBiase Says Virgil Could’ve Had A Better Run In The WWF If He Was A Better Wrestler

During a recent appearance on Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase talked about working with Virgil in the World Wrestling Federation.

DiBiase talked about how Virgil could’ve had a better run in the WWF if he was a better wrestler:

“Well, actually, I can’t claim Virgil because I didn’t even know Virgil until they introduced me to him in the office, so I’m not sure who found Virgil. But they hired Virgil. I mean, he had the look and he had the guns. And I guess that’s about all I can say about that! Yeah, I mean, here’s the thing about Virgil.

He wasn’t a bad guy. I mean, he showed up on time. He didn’t smoke or drink or do drugs. I’ve been told that he likes to gamble, but other than that… But I did realize that he wasn’t the smartest book on the shelf. No, not at all. And what we could’ve done if Virgil had some really, really good or decent wrestling skills, we could have had a heck of a run, but that wasn’t in the cards.”

Possible Big Title Change At Clash of Champions 2017

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, the main event of Clash of Champions 2017 was officially announced – “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles defending the WWE Championship against “The Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal.

There’s a lot of talk going on regarding WWE officials putting the WWE Championship back on Jinder, thus making him a two time WWE Champion. It should be noted that WrestleMania 34 plans currently remain unchanged and the plan is for Jinder Mahal to walk into the event as the WWE Champion.

This means that a WWE Title change might be coming soon and is very much possible at Clash of Champions 2017 in December.

During a recent edition of “Conversation With The Big Guy” podcast, former WWE Star Ryback also noted that AJ Styles’ WWE Title run might be a short one and that Jinder might get it back soon:

“I don’t know what the deal was; I don’t know if Jinder is hurt or what not, but I think AJ Styles vs. Brock Lesnar is the better matchup on paper in every way. I like Jinder. Jinder is a great guy, but this could be a short-term thing, and then the title will go back to Jinder, but I don’t know. He lost the title, and I think AJ vs Brock is an interesting match-up.”
