On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 18, 1999, Extreme Championship Wrestling aired ‘ECW Heat Wave 1999’ LIVE on PPV from the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio.

This was the 6th out of 7 ECW Heat Wave events the company produced from 1994 to 2000, but only the 1998, 1999 & 2000 shows made it to pay-per-view.

The most famous segment of Heat Wave ’99 was by far the Dudldey Boyz segment, that was so controversial and drew so much heat with the fans in attendance, it almost turned a riot

• Possible Change To Bray Wyatt – Finn Balor Feud

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, Bray Wyatt made his return to Live TV as The Fiend and took out Finn Balor with Sister Abigail.

There were reports that this would lead to Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor at SummerSlam 2019, with Wyatt defeating Balor and Balor then taking the time off that he asked for, but that might not be the case.

According to PWInsider, Balor has already flown home to Ireland, so that might mean that Balor’s hiatus has begun and that he has already been written off WWE TV.

We’ll keep you updated regarding this.
