• Ronda Rousey Reveals Her Favorite WrestleMania Moment
During a recent interview with Planeta Wrestling, Ronda Rousey talked about who she would like to face beside Stephanie McMahon, her favourite WrestleMania moments, and how she is gonna benefit the women’s division in WWE.
Below are the highlights:
On who she would like to face beside Stephanie McMahon:
“Right now, all of my focus is on Stephanie , and that’s it. I kind of have blinders on when I’m focused on something. When I’m focused on something that’s my whole universe. Stephanie McMahon, and beating the hell out of her at WrestleMania is the center of my whole universe. And I really can’t afford to be focusing on anyone else other than her.”
On her favourite WrestleMania moments:
“As a kid, I just remember Hulk Hogan being my hero. My family didn’t sit down and go, ‘Oh, we’re going to watch WrestleMania together!’ it was just always on. I live in North Dakota, so wrestling is really big out there and it was just on TV. I was too little to understand, ‘Oh, this is this event and that’s that event.’ Now that I’m older, WrestleMania I is of course my favorite, Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. … That was something that I grew to appreciate as an adult.”
On how she is gonna benefit the women’s division in WWE:
“I don’t want to change anything that the women have been doing, they’ve been doing an amazing job. They’ve really been able to change the industry for the better and just the way people look at the women out there. I just consider myself a catalyst. I’m here to speed the process up and to make sure the hard work that they’ve been doing is seen and appreciated by more people.”
• Possible Date For Debut Of Women’s Tag Team Titles Revealed
Belt Fan Dan (who has broken stories about WWE Title belts in the past) revealed on Reddit that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles are expected to be debuted sometime around SummerSlam 2018.
Below is what he wrote:
“As I reported here in August, NXT is introducing a mid-card title. When it was pitched in the creative meeting it was supposed to be themed after Dusty being TV champion. Vince hates the idea of a Television title, so it was changed to “North American”.
The NXT North American Championship is already finished and in WWE’s hands. The belt apparently has a “classical” look. I am trying to get more details.
Also, the long rumored WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are in the works for a debut around SummerSlam.”
No word yet on if there will be separate Women’s Tag Team Titles for Raw & SmackDown Live brands.
