On this day in Old School Pro Wrestling history on November 15, 1998, the WWF aired their annual Survivor Series PPV LIVE from The Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The 1998 edition of the World Wrestling Federation’s traditional ‘Survivor Series’ event featured a 14-man tournament for the vacant WWF World Heavyweight Championship.

This Survivor Series didn’t feature a single classic Survivor Series Elimination match, but is still remembered as one of the better Survivor Series PPVs. The PPV ended with The Rock winning his first ever WWF World Title.

Also, the shortest match in WWF/E history took place at this event when The Rock pinned Big Boss Man in just 3 seconds during their tournament match. You can watch it below:

Possible Interference Angle During Raw vs. SmackDown Live Survivor Series Match

At this Sunday’s Survivor Series 2017 PPV, Team Raw (Kurt Angle, Triple H, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe & Finn Balor) will take on Team SmackDown Live (Shane McMahon, John Cena, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode & Shinsuke Nakamura).

One of the angles discussed for this match is for former WWF Champion Kane to interfere in the match and take out “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman.

This would be a way to protect Strowman if WWE plans on not involving him in the finish or for Team Raw losing. The Strowman-Kane feud is expected to continue after Survivor Series 2017.

For those who missed it, Strowman faced Kane on this week’s episode of Raw and powerslamed “The Big Red Machine” through the ring! You can watch it below:
