• Possible New WrestleMania 38 Opponent For Roman Reigns
As we noted before, a new report from Ringsidenews stated that The Rock might not work WrestleMania 38 in Dallas next year, but he is ‘virtually a lock’ for WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, California.
This means that the long-awaited Roman Reigns vs. The Rock match might not happen in 2022.
With that being said, the Wrestling Observer is now speculating that WWE could save the Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar match (with Reigns being a heel and Lesnar being a babyface) for WrestleMania 38, instead of doing it at Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia next month:
“Lesnar being brought back was a reaction to [CM] Punk. That’s what it was because it was a last minute call. I’m presuming today that [Lesnar vs. Reigns is for] next year’s WrestleMania.
That’s what I’m presuming today because Dwayne Johnson is probably not – you know, that’s up to Dwayne Johnson, I mean next year’s WrestleMania. When he wants to wrestle and when his schedule is cleared, that’s when he’s gonna wrestle.”
Roman & Brock have faced each other at WrestleMania two times already, at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.
