• Possible Return On Tonight’s SmackDown

After several months away from WWE TV, word is that Shinsuke Nakamura may be making a surprise return to SmackDown. Fans spotted him in Toledo, Ohio, where tonight’s show is scheduled to take place.

Nakamura’s last televised match was back on June 13, during a Fatal 4-Way match in the King of the Ring tournament. Since then, he’s been absent from regular storylines, though he is advertised for WWE’s upcoming tour in Japan this October.

Given his status and previous U.S. Title runs, a natural storyline could be a feud with Sami Zayn, who currently holds that championship. Nakamura lost the U.S. Title earlier this year.

• Former World Champion Expected To Return To WWE TV Soon

According to the Wrestling Observer, former 2-time World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is expected to make his return to WWE programming imminently.

Gunther has been off WWE television since early August, following his loss of the World Heavyweight Title to CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025.

WWE called him out of action with “multiple injuries,” including facial trauma from a spot that saw him fall face-first onto an announce table during the Punk match.

His injury report cited specifically a septal hematoma and an orbital blowout fracture, which required time off to recover.

Given his status and recent run – winning back the World Title from Jey Uso in June, defending it on Saturday Night’s Main Event against Goldberg, then losing to CM Punk – his re-entry is expected to factor into the world title picture.

• Former WWE Wrestler Is Now Working At Disney World

Kona Reeves spent 7 years in NXT after signing with WWE in 2014. He has now traded life on the road for a job at Walt Disney World, but still wrestles at local shows in Florida sometimes.

While speaking to Muscle Man Malcolm, Reeves talked about what his time in NXT meant to him before explaining why he’s happy with life at Disney World.

“Not many people get to experience that. It was amazing. Being on the road, traveling, going to different cities and stuff like that. Was a blast.”

He also named the people he enjoyed working with during his NXT run.

“There was so many people I liked to work while I was in NXT. I mean, Adam Cole was awesome to work. Johnny Gargano was a pro. Just so many people were amazing to work, you know what I mean. Kenta was awesome to work. He was someone that I wanted to work.”

He then talked about his time working under WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.

“I had some relationship with Triple H. He pulled me over to the side. Whenever I have a match on TV, he let me know, gave me some advice, told me what I could work on. And I go out there and I, you know, work on that.”

Regarding his new job at Walt Disney World, Reeves said:

“I’m enjoying having fun right now. I work full time over at Disney World. I’m a stunt performer at the Indiana Jones Show. I beat up Indiana Jones for a living.”

He went on to confirm that he hasn’t left pro wrestling entirely and still appears for local shows in Florida.

“I come out here and fulfill wrestling. You know, every once in a while, Boca Raton Championship Wrestling. I also wrestle down there. I was just champion over there.”
