– NXT TakeOver: War Games Predictions
During a recent edition of The Taz Show podcast, ECW Veteran Taz gave his predictions for tonight’s NXT TakeOver: War Games match. Below are his predictions:
Kassius Ohno vs. Lars Sullivan:
“I’ll tell you who I think should win and I’ll tell you who I think they’re gonna have win. Lars Sullivan should win and I think they’re gonna have him win.
Ohno’s good in the ring. He’s good on his promo work. I know his look, he’s the everyday guy. It’s not just the look, there’s something about him like, that it factor for me. I don’t want to disrespect the guy. I’m just giving my opinion.
I’m not a huge fan of the persona, he portrays and how he comes out like his look and his physique. I’m not. I’m not comparing him to Lars. I’m just saying I think Lars is a guy that you’re gonna hitch the wagon to. I think Lars should win and I think they’ll have him win.”
Winner: Lars Sullivan
Aleister Black vs. The Velveteen Dream:
“I like both these guys. I think they both have really strong futures. I think this is gonna happen. I think that they will have Aleister Black win. But I think Velveteen Dream should win. I got no problem and I really like both these guys. I think they’re gonna have Aleister Black win. I would like to see Velveteen Dream win.
No matter what, I think this can be good. I’m looking forward to this match. They have an opportunity here to really kick some a$$ and I hope both these young guys do it.”
Winner: Aleister Black
Fatal 4-Way Match For The Vacant NXT Women’s Championship: Ember Moon vs. Kairi Sane vs. Nikki Cross vs. Peyton Royce:
“This was a long build, putting these four ladies in this match where Kairi Sane won the Mae Young Classic tournament. They all had to earn their way in. That’s what I’m saying.
I say Peyton Royce, they should have win and and Peyton does win. I’m a big fan of her. A big fan of all these girls.
Peyton Royce all the way. They’re gonna have her win. She should be the champion. She can talk. She looks great. She works great. She’s money. I’m a big fan.”
Winner: Peyton Royce
NXT Championship Match: Drew McIntyre vs Andrade “Cien” Almas:
“I’ve talked about Almas recently, he has really amped up. They have pushed him. He has amped up, Zelina Vega with him is money. I’m a big fan of this guy’s work. I’ve been a fan of his in-ring work. I wasn’t a fan of the character, but lately I am. I’d like to see him becoming a champ.
I’d like Cien to become the new champ. I think they are pushing him hard enough and he’s over enough to be the new champ. I don’t think they will though. I do think Drew McIntyre will retain. I feel like they haven’t pushed McIntyre and been fair to him as a champ.”
Winner: Drew McIntyre
No prediction for the War Games match was given by Taz as he talked about the things that he didn’t like about WWE’s version of the War Games match. We’ll cover that in another article.

It should be noted that the Raw brand won overall supremacy last year as well by a score of 3-2.
