• Possible Spoiler On Danhausen’s Mystery Partner At Backlash
WWE Backlash is less than 24 hours away. The show will be the first Premium Live Event following WrestleMania 42 and takes place at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa.
One of the advertised matches for the event will see Danhausen team up with a mystery partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, there is speculation that the mystery partner will be country star Jelly Roll, although nothing has been officially confirmed at this time.
Jelly Roll was involved in a rivalry with Kit Wilson before WrestleMania 42 and defeated him in a singles match on SmackDown. His last WWE appearance came during the main event of WrestleMania 42 – Night 1, where he helped Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes take out Pat McAfee.
• Major European Nation In Strong Position To Host WrestleMania
WWE has continued expanding worldwide over the last few years, taking major Premium Live Events to countries including Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia as the company continues prioritizing international markets.
That expansion is set to reach another level next year, with WrestleMania heading outside North America for the first time ever as the Showcase of Immortals is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia. Following that move, Ireland is now hoping to host WrestleMania in the future as interest grows in hosting WWE’s biggest annual event.
Kilkenny Councillor Maurice Shortall stated that Ireland is “well placed” to submit a competitive bid for WrestleMania, saying:
“As a globally recognised event with the capacity to attract tens of thousands of international visitors and generate substantial international media exposure, WrestleMania presents a significant opportunity for Ireland to strengthen its position as a leading destination for major event tourism.
The wider regional benefit to counties such as Kilkenny would be substantial, with strong potential for tourism spillover, increased domestic travel, and enhanced international visibility for Ireland’s secondary tourism destinations.
Ireland is well placed to present a credible and competitive bid for WrestleMania, given our strong international tourism brand, proven track record in hosting major events, and global reputation as a welcoming destination.”
WWE is currently in talks with Nashville as the city is interested in hosting WrestleMania 44.
