Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Royal Rumble and Aleister Black.
• WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has confirmed a fan meet-and-greet and signing session at the Indianapolis Convention Center on Friday, January 31st, one day before the Royal Rumble 2025 premium live event in Indianapolis.
Stratus, who has made surprise Royal Rumble appearances in the past, has not been confirmed for this year’s match, but her presence in the city has sparked speculation.
In a recent interview with TVInsider, Stratus expressed openness to a WWE return if it presents a unique challenge for her, humorously adding she couldn’t retire without being “rag-dolled” by Nia Jax.
Stratus last appeared in WWE at the Money In The Bank 2024 PLE, where she served as host and shared a segment with Tiffany Stratton, fueling rumors of a potential future match between the two.
It should be noted that Trish is celebrating 25 years as a wrestler this year, and used #Trish25 in her tweet.

• As we have reported before, multiple sources have reported that Malakai Black (fka Aleister Black in WWE) is set to leave AEW soon.
According to PWTorch, WWE officials are interested in having him back:
“There are influential people in WWE who are big fans of Black and see him as a possible top singles act in the company.”
Black has reportedly told people close to him that he’s interested in returning to WWE now that Triple H runs the creative.
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE officials are already discussing creative plans for Black:
“While the specific date his contract expires isn’t known, it’s pretty clear the 2027 date that was said by Tony Khan isn’t correct, at least from the belief in WWE since they are talking creative ideas for him.”
Black is among a group of AEW stars, including Miro, Ricky Starks, and Rey Fenix, who are reportedly not being utilized by AEW amid the expectation that they will eventually transition to WWE once their contracts expire.
