On this day in 1989, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.
This episode was pre-taped at the Civic Center in Portland, Maine and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Survivor Series 1989’ PPV.

• R-Truth Becomes 19 Time WWE 24/7 Champion
WWE has now booked the same sequence of WWE 24/7 Title changes at recent Live Events for the third time in a row.
At the recent WWE Live Event in Hawaii, Chad Gable defeated EC3. After the match, EC3 pinned R-Truth and won the WWE 24/7 Championship. EC3 then immediately lost the Title back to R-Truth after the match.
With all these recent Title changes, R-Truth is now a 19 time WWE 24/7 Champion!

• Pyro Returning To Weekly WWE TV Next Week
Not only will WWE debut new entrance stages for both RAW & SmackDown next week, but pyro will also be returning to WWE programming next week (as they go to war with AEW starting next week).
