– LA Knight vs. Damian Priest ended in a DQ after Solo Sikoa interfered
Knight & Priest ganged up on Solo, which led to United States Champion Jacob Fatu making the save for Solo and laying out both Knight & Priest.
– Pretty Deadly put Fraxiom on notice.

– Chelsea Green threatened to take SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to the Supreme Court and wants a recount from last week’s match. Aldis said it was a clear 3 count and Piper Niven will face new Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega tonight.
– Nia Jax came to the ring and said she’s back for the WWE Women’s Championship. Tiffany Stratton came out and said Nia can’t bully her anymore. Naomi came out and said she’s still looking to win gold. Jade Cargill came out and a brawl broke out. Nick Aldis booked Tiffany & Jade vs. Nia & Naomi for later tonight.
– The Miz told Carmelo Hayes that he has outlasted so many legends, so called next big things and flavors of the month, and won’t let someone like Aleister Black, who only lasted a few years in WWE, to make a name at his expense.

Black had a face off with Carmelo Hayes after the match.
– Santos Escobar mocked Rey Fenix for losing at WrestleMania 41. Fenix challenged Escobar to a match tonight.
– Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega def. Piper Niven in a non-title match
Piper accidentally pushed Chelsea Green off the apron during the ending moments of the match.
– In a backstage segment, Nick Aldis wasn’t happy with Solo Sikoa interfering in the LA Knight vs. Damian Priest match. Aldis announced that Jacob Fatu will defend the United States Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Knight & Priest at Backlash. Solo said that doesn’t make sense, since Drew McIntyre won the #1 Contender’s match last week via DQ, so Drew should be the one to face Fatu. Aldis then turned the Backlash match into a Fatal 4-Way by adding McIntyre to the mix. Fatu said he doesn’t care and is ready. Sikoa claimed Aldis is trying to screw Fatu.
– Randy Orton addressed John Cena ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match at Backlash. Randy said it took the world 20 years to find out what he knew since day one, and that is Cena is a selfish and arrogant man who took full advantage of the PG era to become a cartoonish superhero for the kids and sell them all kinds of merch. Randy said Cena claims to have raised everyone’s kids, but in reality, the only thing Cena raised is the price of his merch. Orton said Cena sold his soul a long time ago, along with the loyalty and the respect. Randy vowed to Punt Kick Cena in his Lego shaped head, but not before he hits him with the RKO.
– R-Truth met Randy Orton backstage and said the following:
“You got no chance at Backlash. My childhood hero John Cena is going to beat Randy Orton.”
Orton asked Truth why would he say something like that, and Truth said because it’s true. Jimmy Uso interrupted and said he’ll talk to Truth. Jimmy told Truth that Orton will knock his head of his shoulders. Truth said Cena is the last real champion. Fans on social media noted that Truth showed signs of a heel turn in this segment.

– Jade Cargill told Tiffany Stratton that she will face Nia Jax in a #1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Women’s Championship on next week’s SmackDown.
– In front of Los Garza (Angel & Berto), Andrade said Santos Escobar has no legacy or loyalty. Angel looked interested in joining forces with Andrade.
– Jade Cargill & WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton def. Nia Jax & Naomi
Cargill pinned Jax to pick up the win. After the match, Cargill took the Women’s Title and put it on her shoulder. Naomi attacked Jade from behind, sending her crashing into Tiffany. Naomi then posed with the Title over a fallen Cargill to end the show.
