On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 13, 1990, the World Wrestling Federation and All Japan Pro Wrestling held a joint televised event called ‘WWF/AJPW Wrestling Summit’ in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
Originally Freebird Terry Gordy was supposed to wrestle “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan in the main event of the show, but eventually got replaced with “Cowboy” Stan Hansen.

• Randy Orton Pokes Fun At AEW For Loading Their Roster With Ex-WWE Wrestlers
The number one contender for the WWE Championship, Randy Orton, is not only taking out legends in WWE, but he’s also keeping up with rival company AEW and trolling its wrestlers.
Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks posted a short video clip of him performing the Tope Con Hilo from the stage on to the members of The Dark Order, but he couldn’t connect with the three of them properly.
He captioned it:
“I really stuck that landing, didn’t I?”
The Legend Killer slided into Jackson’s comments section and told him that he didn’t hit anybody. He also sent greetings to all the former WWE talents who now work for AEW.
“Sweet landing…..but you didn’t hit anybody. Tell Cody, Goldust, Harper, Swags, Y2J, Hardy, Ryder, Spears, Ambrose, Arn, Malenko, Gunn, and most importantly FTR ?? for me.”
