Below are the results from tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, which featured an update on Randy Orton.
– General Manager Ava (The Rock’s daughter) kicked off tonight’s NXT and revealed that Sexxy Red will be returning to the brand, while Randy Orton will have a match on the October 8th episode in St. Louis.
– Ethan Page & Trick Williams had a Contract Signing. Ethan said he will retain the NXT Championship and prove that Trick is a disappointment to the fans. Trick said that he will be the victor and will become a 2-time NXT Champion. Ethan attacked Trick and put him through a table.
– Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley def. Wendy Choo & TNA wrestler Rosemary
– TNA wrestler Hammerstone def. Tony D’Angelo via Count-Out after Tony left the ring and headed backstage
– Eddy Thorpe def. Ashante Adonis
– CM Punk came out to make an announcement, but got interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. Roxanne (age 22) said she always preferred Punk’s wife (AJ Lee), and that she realized she should’ve been a Drew McIntyre fan growing up. Giulia made her way out and told Roxanne that she has two weeks left as the NXT Women’s Champion.
– Thea Hail said that Ridge Holland broke her heart after he attacked Andre Chase & Duke Hudson. Riley Osborne said he hates that he and Duke were right, and said that Ridge showed who he really was when they gave him a chance, and challenged Ridge to a match for next week.
– Cedric Alexander & Je’Von Evans def. The No Quarter Catch Crew
It was then announced that Je’Von Evans (age 20) will face Randy Orton (age 44) on the October 8th episode in St. Louis.
– Brooks Jensen def. Dion Lennox
– Lola Vice def. Jacy Jayne
After the match, The Fatal Influence attacked Lola, but Jaida Parker made the save. Lola & Jaida then get into an argument.
– CM Punk was named the Special Guest Referee for the Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams NXT Championship match on The CW Network premiere on October 1st.
