– WWF Veteran Explains Why He Was Heavily Surprised By A SmackDown Live Match

As seen on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, James Ellsworth faced former SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in an intergender match. WWF Veteran Taz was very shocked by this match and below is what he said:

“James Ellsworth wrestled an intergender match against Becky Lynch. I have to say I was surprised. I’ve alluded heavily to the fact that you’re really not gonna see a male do any physicality to a woman on WWE TV. I don’t remember my exact words, but I have to say I was wrong because they did that this week.

It wasn’t heavy physicality, but they had Ellsworth do different stuff to Becky Lynch like a headlock, takedown or push her and knock her over and physical stuff. I was surprised at that. I’m not knocking it or nothing like that. I’m just saying in this day how things have changed and I’m surprised WWE did that.

Definitely heavily surprised. I was watching like wow. I couldn’t believe it. I was shocked. And I’m not exaggerating when I say shocked. I was. I didn’t think we’d see that anymore on the WWE because of the climate in our society and how everything is with men and women and how things are and how world’s changed and how when you put out on TV and stuff as a production company you gotta be careful. You don’t want to offend anyone.”
