Raquel Rodriguez returned on this week’s episode of RAW and won the last chance Battle Royal. With this win, she has qualified for the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.

Raquel revealed last month that she has been diagnosed with MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome).

American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology defines MCAS as a condition in which the patient experiences repeated episodes of the symptoms of anaphylaxis – allergic symptoms such as hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing and severe diarrhea. High levels of mast cell mediators are released during those episodes.

Raquel issued the following statement:

“So long story short, last year I posted a video about being a WWE Superstar with eczema. In the month of December, it got progressively worse and I have been diagnosed with something called mast cell activation syndrome. Basically, I was red, swollen, there was a lot happening in [the face] area physically.

It kept me from doing the things that I love like traveling, going to the gym and wrestling. I also didn’t want to be on camera, I didn’t want to look in the mirror.

Thank God I moved back to Texas when I did because I have the best support system in the world during this time, which is my family. I’m so grateful to them and for everything they have done for me, and to you guys as well, who have sent me kind messages and reminded me that I didn’t have to go through this alone.”

In an update, Raquel posted a video to show how bad her condition got. Below is what she posted:

“The journey is far from over. I finally got some answers as to what caused this but it’s going to be a while till I can get it fully under control.

I know one thing. I’m blessed to have an amazing support system. Family, friends, I love you all❤️

Keep pushing through the pain!”
