On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 6, 1984, Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) held the ‘1st Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions’ at the Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas.
This was the 1st out of 5 “Parade of Champions” events that were held every year from 1984 till 1988.

• RAW Head Writer Fired From WWE Over Argument With Vince McMahon
According to The Dirty Sheets, RAW head writer Ryan Callahan was fired last week after having an argument with Vince McMahon.
While Ryan had disagreements with fellow backstage writers multiple times, the final straw came last week when Vince McMahon tore up the entire RAW script just hours before the show and demanded the writers to completely re-write the show.
This led to Ryan having an argument with Vince McMahon and he left the building without contributing to the show. Earlier that day, Ryan worked with both Universal Champion Seth Rollins & AJ Styles for producing a segment between the two men, which would’ve led to them facing two heels in the main event of RAW (this actually happened on tonight’s RAW where Rollins & Styles faced Baron Corbin & Bobby Lashley in a tag team match).
Ryan was then fired for walking out on WWE without contributing towards the show.
