On this day in 1998, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW MONDAY NITRO’.

It was broadcasted from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Halloween Havoc 1998’ PPV.

Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post is reporting that RAW & SmackDown will be getting way more than just pyro:

“Talked with #WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn about @WWEonFOX. Confirmed there will be new sets, openings, logos, graphics & theme music for both #Raw and SmackDown.

Pyro is also returning including “flames, lasers.” More details next week on @nypostsports about #WWEPremiereWeek”
