• More Interesting Notes From SummerSlam 2018

Let’s take a look at some interesting notes from last night’s SummerSlam 2018 PPV:

– Roman Reigns is now a 4 time World Champion.

– Brock Lesnar main evented his 5th straight SummerSlam.

– Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns main evented both WrestleMania & SummerSlam PPVs in 2018. The only time this has happened before was in 2008, when The Undertaker vs. Edge main evented both WrestleMania 24 (in 2008) and SummerSlam 2008 PPVs.

– Brock Lesnar held the Universal Title for 504 days.

– New SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is now a 7 time champion on the WWE main roster and an 8 time champion in WWE overall (4x RAW Women’s Title, 2x SmackDown Women’s Title, 1x WWE Divas Title, 1x NXT Women’s Title).

– Brock Lesnar got pinned for the first time ever at a SummerSlam PPV last night.

– Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar are now the only two men in WWE history to have held both the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship.

– Ronda Rousey became the first ever woman to have held the UFC Women’s Championship and the WWE RAW Women’s Championship.

– Seth Rollins captured the Intercontinental Title this year at the two biggest PPVs of the year – WrestleMania 34 & SummerSlam 2018.

– Seth Rollins paid tribute to Thanos from Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War movie with his gear

– John Cena missed his first SummerSlam event in 15 years.

– Alexa Bliss lost the RAW Women’s Championship at both WrestleMania & SummerSlam PPVs this year.

– Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns broke a 24 year old record. The Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns – SummerSlam 2018 match is now the shortest SummerSlam main event ever (6 minutes & 10 seconds).

The previous record was held by The Undertaker vs. Fake Undertaker from WWF SummerSlam 1994 (8 minutes & 57 seconds). It should be noted that impromptu Money In The Bank cash-in main events don’t count.

As seen in the opening match of the SummerSlam 2018 main card, Seth Rollins defeated Dolph Ziggler to become a two time Intercontinental Champion.

Rollins has now become the 7th Superstar in WWF/E history to be a multi-time WWF/E Champion, a multi-time Tag Team Champion, and a multi-time Intercontinental Champion.
