RAW Star Makes Surprise Appearance At NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool & Wins A “Teacher vs. Student” Match

On this day in 1998, the World Wrestling Federation aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF RAW IS WAR’.

It was broadcasted from the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1998’ PPV.

• RAW Star Makes Surprise Appearance At NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool & Wins A “Teacher vs. Student” Match

The second match of today’s NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool event was Travis Banks vs. Jordan Devlin, but that didn’t take place because of Devlin’s vicious assault on Banks.

This led to former Universal Champion Finn Balor replacing Travis Banks to face Jordan Devlin. It should be noted that Devlin is Balor’s pro-wrestling student. So this is a Student vs. Teacher match.

Balor won the match after hitting his finisher.
