Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens underwent a double knee surgery recently. It was previously expected that Owens would be cleared to return by December, but that’s not the case.

According to the Wrestling Observer, the damage in Owens’ left knee is worse than expected and his return date is now pushed back to sometime in March 2019.

This would most likely mean that Owens would miss WrestleMania 35 as WWE doesn’t like to put their injured guys back into storylines just one month before WrestleMania.

Expect WWE to save Owens’ return for the post-WrestleMania 35 edition of RAW.

It should be noted that Owens has begun rehabbing and is on the road to recovery.
