Raw Star Possibly Missing WrestleMania 34, Samoa Joe Explains How To Deal With Brock Lesnar

WrestleMania

• OLD SCHOOL VIDEO HISTORY (January 19, 1991) – WWF Superstars Of Wrestling

On this day in 1991, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars Of Wrestling’.

This episode featured pre-taped matches & storyline segments on the road to the upcoming Royal Rumble 1991 event, which aired LIVE on PPV later that day.

You can clearly see that this episode was taped a couple of weeks earlier, as The Honky Tonk Man was still working as a co-announcer here, when he was actually already gone from the World Wrestling Federation at that point.

Below is the match-card:

01. Jake Roberts vs. Bob Bradley

02. Earthquake vs. Randy Hunter

03. The Hart Foundation vs. Black Bart & W.T. Jones

04. Mr. Perfect vs. Tony Reno

05. Bushwhackers vs. Dennis Allen & The Gladiator

• Samoa Joe Explains How To Deal With Brock Lesnar

During a recent appearance on “In This Corner Podcast”, Raw Superstar Samoa Joe talked about his feud with Brock Lesnar and how one should deal with “The Beast Incarnate”.

Below are the highlights:

On how to deal with Brock Lesnar:

“I think when you are dealing with Brock Lesnar, you have to show up ready to deal with Brock Lesnar. Brock is the type of guy who is not going to give you an inch. If you are going to get anything from him, you have to take it and he’s going to dare you to take it.

Brock is a guy who kind of feeds off of emotion, and if you come out and you’re flat and you’re not putting out what he is putting out, he’s going to eat you alive. That has never been an issue with me.”

On having a match with Lesnar:

“If we are going to be in the ring together, Brock knows we are coming for a fight. I mean that literally and figuratively. There is no pulling anything with Brock. If you show signs of weakness, he’s an apex predator and he’s going to pounce on it and he’s going to attack and overwhelm.

You have to know how to deal with it when you are in there with Brock. He is a person who is going to accept nothing but the very best and if you don’t bring the very best, he’ll have no problems doing everything he can to absolutely wipe you out.”

• Raw Star Possibly Missing WrestleMania 34

As we noted before Raw Superstar Samoa Joe suffered a foot injury during a match and he was expected to be out of action for about two weeks. However, that’s not the case anymore.

Joe is now expected to be out of action for at least two months and has been pulled from the Royal Rumble 2018 PPV and a Live Event at Madison Square Garden on March 16 where he was scheduled to be a part of the Intercontinental Title match.

With Joe being out of action till mid-March or even complete March, word going on is that Joe won’t compete at WrestleMania 34 even if he gets cleared to return before the Show of Shows (as it might be too late for him to be involved in a storyline).
