• RAW Star’s Title Win Cancelled Due To Roman Reigns’ Departure

According to WrestleVotes, the original plan for Dean Ambrose’s heel turn was for him to cost Seth Rollins the Intercontinental Championship during a Title defense against Elias.

Elias was set to have a run with the Intercontinental Championship, but the plans got cancelled due to Roman Reigns’ departure.

Elias turned babyface on the same episode of RAW where Reigns announced his departure due to Leukemia. It was also on this episode of RAW that Ambrose turned heel.

So with a top babyface leaving and another top babyface turning heel, Elias was turned babyface to fill the void and his planned heel Intercontinental Title run was cancelled.
