Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Monday Night RAW and IShowSpeed.
• Tyler Bate has been medically cleared to return to WWE after recovering from a torn left pectoral major and tendon sustained on the July 2, 2024 episode of NXT.
According to PWInsider, Bate is expected to rejoin the RAW brand soon, with his comeback likely set for the February 24th episode of Monday Night RAW.
Following his injury, Bate underwent surgery and dedicated himself to an intense recovery regimen. Before the setback, he was part of the New Catch Republic alongside Pete Dunne.
With Dunne now a heel embroiled in a feud with Penta, it remains unclear if the two will reunite or if Bate will focus on a singles run upon his return.
• At WWE Royal Rumble 2025, Triple H told IShowSpeed to enter the 30-man match as Akira Tozawa’s replacement, after Carmelo Hayes attacked Tozawa. Speed eliminated Otis with help from Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. Breakker then hit Speed with a devastating spear and eliminated him, with Otis also slamming him over the announce table.
Speed’s Royal Rumble match appearance, which was his WWE debut match, drew over 300 million views across all social media platforms in just one day!
According to PWInsider, WWE officials “adored” IShowSpeed following his appearance at the Royal Rumble and are eager to work with him again, potentially at WrestleMania 41.
Speed appeared at last year’s WrestleMania 40 PLE as well, where he got RKOed by Randy Orton.
However, Speed might not be interested in getting physical in WWE again. During a live stream with Kai Cenat, Speed said he’s done with WWE, and mentioned that he messed up his ribcage and couldn’t walk for two days after the spear from Breakker.
