On this day in 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF SmackDown!’.
It was broadcasted from the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and featured pre-taped matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 2001’ PPV.

• RAW Wrestler Says Hulk Hogan Hates Him
WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan got released from WWE in 2015 after a $ex tape involving him from 2007 was illegally released and it featured Hogan using the N-word.
While some people forgave him after he apologized to them, some still don’t appreciate The Hulkster.
One of the people who still isn’t on good terms with Hogan is RAW wrestler MVP.
A few days ago, RAW wrestler Erik (of The Viking Raiders) celebrated the one year anniversary of his meeting with Hogan.
Below is what he wrote on Instagram:
“One of my earliest memories is sitting on the floor with my dad watching Hulk Hogan on TV. One year ago i got to meet my childhood hero. And let me tell you something, brother, it was awesome.”
MVP commented the following on the photo:
“And then I found out he hates me and people that look like me…”
The comment was deleted later, but below is a screenshot of it:
