CM Punk is back and will compete this Saturday at Survivor Series: WarGames.
Friday’s SmackDown kicked off with Solo Sikoa demanding that Roman Reigns must accept his terms of surrender. In the main event segment, Solo told Roman that if he joins his Bloodline, they will run this company for decades. Solo asked Roman and his OG Bloodline members to surrender and join his team, or they will die right where they are standing. Roman was about to answer and Paul Heyman showed up out of nowhere, and Roman was shocked.
Heyman then introduced the 5th member – CM Punk. The babyfaces laid out the heels. Roman and Punk had a face-off and fans chanted “this is awesome”.
After SmackDown, Punk posted the following photo on his Instagram story with the caption:
“Well ya know, for me, the action is the juice.”
On the one year anniversary of his WWE return, Punk issued the following statement on his Instagram story:
“Happy one year anniversary of my return to WWE. Thank you to all the fans for waiting, chanting my name for years, and carrying me on this journey. Thank you to my family and friends backstage for the warmth and continued support.
Thank you Paul, Nick, and Bruce for the trust and making it all happen. Love you all! We are just getting started!”
Interestingly, Punk wrote the above message over the photo of a pissed off Seth Rollins showing the middle finger to him on the night of his return:
WRKD Wrestling reported the following regarding Punk teaming up with the original Bloodline:
“CM Punk joining Team OG Bloodline will be used as fuel in the Rollins/Punk feud in the future with Punk citing that he stepped up to help when Rollins didn’t. Still heading toward that Mania match.”
Punk vs. Rollins, which was originally planned for WrestleMania 40, is expected to take place at WrestleMania 41.
