• Real Reason Behind Planned Women’s Match Being Cancelled At WWE Super ShowDown 2019

As we noted earlier, WWE officials were in talks with Saudi Arabia officials regarding doing a women’s match at WWE Super ShowDown 2019 for a while now and they even brought Alexa Bliss & Natalya to Jeddah in hopes of doing a singles match, but it didn’t happen.

According to Brad Shepard, the real reason behind a women’s match not happening is that some important people in Saudi Arabia rejected the idea:

“According to a source in #WWE, the planned women’s match at #WWESSD was canceled by big wigs outside of GSA, who wouldn’t budge. The source believes that they’re working for a prince who is a rival to Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud (the driving force behind these shows).

The source also told me the women were ‘so disappointed’.”
