On this day in 1994, the World Wrestling Federation aired another episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Monday Night RAW’.
It was broadcasted from the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1995’ PPV.

• Real Reason Behind Rey Mysterio Winning The US Title On RAW
As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, Rey Mysterio defeated AJ Styles to win the United States Championship, just 24 hours after losing to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2019.

According to Slice Wrestling, WWE is giving Mysterio a push because they want him to stay with them and eventually re-sign.
Mysterio signed a 2 year deal back in September 2018 and has an 18 month opt out clause, which means he can leave WWE in March 2020, just a month before WrestleMania 36.
WWE now plans to give Mysterio a WrestleMania moment with his son, Dominick (who is expected to be called Prince Mysterio when he starts wrestling), which would result in Mysterio not leaving WWE in March as that’s something Mysterio wants as a part of his legacy and too good of an opportunity to pass up on.
Mysterio (who will turn 45 in a few weeks) is interested in having one final grand run in the WWE and it looks like his moment has arrived.
