As we noted before, Brock Lesnar is being advertised for multiple Raw shows & Battleground PPV in July. Lesnar was originally scheduled to return a few weeks before the SummerSlam PPV but officials decided to prepone his return.
The reason behind Lesnar returning soon is that Raw ratings are down since he left. Last week’s cable TV rating was 2.54, which is the lowest rating for Raw in the month of May since late 1990s.
The original plans were for Lesnar to return a few weeks before SummerSlam and face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam but now that match is rumored to take place at the Battleground PPV next month.
