Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring Vince McMahon and AEW Rampage.
• Vince McMahon will be featured in a new six-part docuseries on Netflix, set to premiere on September 25th. The series will “chronicle the rise and fall of the WWE’s controversial founder,” including interviews with McMahon, his family, and others.
Previously, it was reported that Janel Grant was not interviewed for the docuseries. However, a spokesperson for Grant has confirmed that Netflix did reach out to her representatives for an interview, but it did not materialize.
A spokesperson for Janel Grant issued the following statement to Post Wrestling:
“Netflix’s documentary group made initial outreach to Janel’s representation for an interview for this project. Despite this, no such interview came to fruition.”
A source familiar with the production also stated that Grant was approached multiple times to participate, but she ultimately chose not to. Here’s what Brandon Thurston reported:
“However, a source with knowledge of the production confirmed that Grant was approached to participate in the series. She was asked to participate in the series multiple times, according to the source, and ultimately decided not to.”
It sounds like Janel not being featured in McMahon’s docuseries was because of her own decision.
