• Real Reason Why WWE Had To Create The 24/7 Championship

WWE debuted the 24/7 Championship on this week’s episode of RAW and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley noted that fans will get to see this 24/7 action in the third hour of RAW.

According to the Wrestling Observer, USA Network presented WWE with the idea of the 24/7 Championship as they aren’t happy with the recent drop in viewership, especially in the third hour of RAW.

WWE used to do a strong viewership number for the 10-11 pm slot for RAW, but that hasn’t been the case recently.

USA Network presented multiple ideas to WWE and a source noted that almost all of them were bad, but Vince McMahon knew he had to take one of these ideas to please the network. The idea for the 24/7 Championship was the best out of all the ideas that were presented and WWE ended up using it.
