• Real Reason WWE Is Working With So Many Promotions Now

Given the TNA partnership, the acquisition of AAA, and WWE’s growing involvement in the independent wrestling scene through WWE ID and its ties to GCW/Bloodsport, is the WWE shifting back into monopoly mode?

A fan asked this question to Sean Ross Sapp and here’s what he replied:

“I personally was shocked that WWE outright bought AAA. I figured a talent exchange was on the horizon.

I think WWE is doing working relationships largely because of the MLW antitrust settlement. It’s hard to prove a monopoly when you’re ‘working with’ so many companies.”

• Update On If Karrion Kross’ WrestleMania 41 Rant Was Unscripted

Karrion Kross has been attracting major attention this year as he approaches the expiration of his WWE contract.

Kross, who has gained momentum with fans through his social media efforts and improved on-screen character work, made a notable appearance at WrestleMania 41 in his hometown of Las Vegas. Though he didn’t have a match at the event, he made headlines during a WrestleMania recap show appearance with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant. During the segment, Kross shifted between discussing his storyline with AJ Styles and candidly addressing his frustrations, saying he had been “manhandled,” “fired,” and given a “lack of opportunities” in WWE.

According to Fightful Select, Kross does not have any backstage heat despite his pointed comments. The segment, while unscripted, did catch the attention of WWE management. A source told Fightful that while many interviews on the recap show were unscripted, Kross’ segment required some approval before it aired due to the language used.

Following the broadcast, numerous WWE wrestlers reportedly reached out to Kross. As Fightful noted, some colleagues contacted him to check on his well-being, while others thanked him for delivering a promo that blended well with his character and resonated beyond typical wrestling storylines.

Kross’ boldness, both inside and outside the ring, appears to be earning him respect at a crucial point in his WWE career. WrestleVotes reported yesterday that due to his WrestleMania rant going viral and being well received by the fans, Kross is scheduled to get more TV time from now on.
