Reason Behind Another Quick Title Change At Hell In A Cell 2017

As seen at Hell In A Cell 2017 PPV, The Usos defeated The New Day in a Hell in a Cell match to recapture the SmackDown Tag Team Titles (it should be noted that this was the first ever Hell in a Cell match with the Tag Team Titles on the line).

We have already noted before how WWE’s plan is to make The New Day the greatest tag team of all time by making them win the Tag Team Titles for the most number of times.

They already hold the record for the longest Tag Team Title reign. Dudley Boyz hold the record for the most WWE Tag Team Title reigns at 9, followed by The Hardy Boyz & Edge & Christian at 7 each.

This was the reason behind yet another quick SmackDown Tag Team Title change. Also, another reason behind this Title change was to continue the feud between these two tag teams.

The New Day won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles for the first time ever at Battleground 2017, then lost them back to The Usos on the SummerSlam 2017 Kickoff Show, won them back again on Sin City SmackDown Live and now lost them again to The Usos at Hell in a Cell 2017.

The New Day now are former 4 time Tag Team Champions and The Usos are now 5 time Tag Team Champions.

Video of Shane McMahon Jumping Off The Hell in a Cell Again

As seen in the main event of Hell In A Cell 2017, Shane McMahon went for an elbow drop from the top of the Hell in a Cell structure once again and ended up crashing through the announce table when Sami Zayn turned heel and pulled Kevin Owens out of the way.

You can watch Shane’s crash below:

Zayn then placed Owens on top of Shane and helped Owens defeat Shane O’Mac. It should be noted that the Owens-Shane Hell in a Cell match lasted 39 minutes.
