• Rusev Learning Reversals Of All AJ Styles’ Moves To Prepare For Extreme Rules 2018

Former United States Champion Rusev will get his first one-on-one WWE Title match this Sunday at the Extreme Rules 2018 PPV against “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.

During a recent interview with Planeta Wrestling, Rusev revealed how he’s training for his big match against Styles, how did he get into the wrestling business & more.

Below are the highlights:

On how he’s training for his WWE Title match against AJ Styles at Extreme Rules 2018:

“It’s different than any other match. I have my own training setup believe it or not. It’s all about finding those nice little…studying AJ’s tapes and finding every transition or reversals for every move that he has so I can be prepared for everything.”

On wanting to be a wrestler ever since he was a kid:

“It all started as a dream. Just watching as a kid, just watching Hogan, just watching WWF it was amazing. I always wanted to be a wrestler I just didn’t know how to do it. So when I was twenty I went to the [United] States and started working different jobs. Finally found a school and signed up. It was something that I loved and I never thought about actually going to the WWE I just loved to wrestle because I wanted to wrestle.”

On getting signed by WWE:

“I was doing that for about two years or three years, whatever it was. I had two or three jobs at the same time just I could afford myself and pay rent and school. Then I had a tryout with WWE and I got signed right away. I was amazing. I would have never thought that somebody like me from the small country of Bulgaria could make it in WWE. Here we are about to face AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship and it just makes sense. Everything makes sense.”

• Reason Behind Brock Lesnar Not Being Mentioned On RAW After His UFC 226 Appearance

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar made an appearance on UFC 226 this past Saturday to confront the new UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier. The news went viral over the internet and fans of both sports, WWE and UFC were talking about it.

Two days later on RAW, WWE mentioned Ronda Rousey’s UFC Hall Of Fame induction but made no mention of Lesnar’s appearance which many viewers found unusual. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer then revealed the possible reason behind Lesnar being snubbed on RAW this week.

Meltzer said that it was Vince Mcmahon’s decision not to give any attention to Brock’s appearance. Vince felt that Lesnar would get in the way of the build up to Extreme Rules. The WWE CEO wanted to promote Extreme Rules only, nothing else.

This decision of Vince McMahon seems ridiculous as it is likely that the winner of Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns will face Lesnar for the Universal Title at SummerSlam 2018. Mentioning him would not have brought any changes to the show.
