According to the Wrestling Observer, both wrestlers felt they had stagnated in AEW and were aware of WWE’s interest. Tony Khan attempted to retain them with higher pay, but the duo had already decided to leave.
AEW’s management was redirected to their agent when discussing contract renewals, leading AEW to stop featuring them on TV.
Rey Fenix has further fueled speculation about his future by deleting tweets accusing AEW of neglecting his medical needs and “inhumane treatment”.
Reports suggest Fenix is trying to get fired from AEW, after they added injury time to his contract.
Meanwhile, the mystery vignettes that WWE is airing on RAW are reportedly for Penta’s debut.

Responding to a fan’s clip of him taking a suplex off the top rope that caused his back to slam against the turnbuckle, Ospreay described the incident as “Top 3 worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life.”
