• Reason Behind Kenny Omega’s Absence From AEW TV
We are in the first month of 2023 and Kenny Omega has already won two titles.
At the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 PPV on January 4th, Omega defeated Will Ospreay to win the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.
Then on the January 11th episode of Dynamite, Omega & Young Bucks defeated Death Triangle in a Ladder Match to win the AEW Trios World Championship.
Omega hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since then. Young Bucks appeared on last week’s episode and appeared on stage to show respect to Jay Briscoe after Mark Briscoe competed in the main event this week, but Omega wasn’t there.
According to Fightful Select, Omega missed the last two episodes of Dynamite due to visa issues.
AEW Officials are hoping that Omega will be able to return on next week’s episode, but nothing is locked in right now.
