• Reason Behind Raw Star’s Name Getting Changed
Raw wrestler Apollo Crews’ last name has been dropped and the change was seen on WWE’s website and last night’s Raw.
Apollo now joins the following wrestlers whose names were changed on the WWE main roster:
– (Antonio) Cesaro
– Big E (Langston)
– (Adrian) Neville
– (Alexander) Rusev
– Elias (Samson)
– (Luke) Harper
– (Erick) Rowan
– Apollo (Crews)
Apollo’s name was dropped because of Nikolas Cruz, who killed 17 students and teachers in Parkland, Florida during the high school shooting incident. This move was made by Vince McMahon to avoid any allusion to Cruz (despite Apollo’s last name being spelled differently).
