Below are a couple of important WWE news stories:
– The feud between Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has been going on for the past couple of months. The two women first went head-to-head at Night Of Champions back in May, where Stratus got the win with some help from Zoey Stark.
Lynch and Stratus have been going at it since then, which made it look like that WWE would book their next encounter for SummerSlam.
However, that will not be the case as the company announced this week that Lynch vs. Stratus will take place when WWE heads to Canada for RAW in two weeks.
According to Fightful Select, the reason why WWE made the decision to not have the match at SummerSlam is because the company would be forced to give it less time at the event, but they’ll get the time they deserve to showcase themselves on RAW.
WWE has been adamant about the length and number of matches at their Premium Live Events. Neither of the two women were happy with the decision.
WWE has also considered moving the match to Payback.
– Former Million Dollar Champion LA Knight is the hottest up-and-coming star in WWE today. He became super-popular with the crowd over the past couple of months and many think he’s going to become the next big babyface in WWE.
As previously noted, PWInsider reported that Knight not being featured on WWE programming is all a plan. The company is reportedly waiting for the right time to push him, which is why they are saving his appearances.
However, some people in WWE are worried that so much delay might lead to Knight’s momentum fading away, according to WRKD Wrestling.
In a response to PWInsider’s report, they wrote:
“We can add that there are parties worried that the company won’t strike while the iron is hot and momentum will fade, as they’ve done with some in the past.”
