On this day in Pro Wrestling history on February 25, 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired their annual ‘No Way Out’ event LIVE on PPV from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This pay-per-view featured 2 main events, first the famous Three Stages of Hell match between Stone Cold Steve Austin & Triple H, and then also The Rock’s chance to regain the WWF World Heavyweight Championship from Kurt Angle.

• Recent WWE Release Was Because Of Disciplinary Reasons
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJP was recently released from WWE. A report came out that TJP was released because he got tattoos without the permission of WWE officials (and that isn’t allowed due to WWE video games, action figures deal…).
However, TJP put those rumors to rest by stating that wasn’t the reason for his release as he asked for permission.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, TJP was actually released due to disciplinary reasons.
Below is what Meltzer said:
“This is one of the things with TJP, WWE is not firing anyone, that’s why the TJP firing surprised people, but TJP’s firing was for disciplinary reasons so it was a thing that they felt like they needed to do. So it wasn’t like cost cutting or creative has nothing for you so we’re gonna let you go. They’re not doing that, those people are being kept around, but TJP they fired because they felt they needed to.”
