• Recently Released AEW Personality Was Backstage At SmackDown
As we have reported before, William Regal is back in WWE. He was backstage on Friday’s SmackDown.
Regal left AEW because he wanted to work with his son, Charlie Dempsey, in NXT.
AEW President Tony Khan agreed to release Regal, but the condition is that Regal won’t be allowed to appear on WWE TV for the entire 2023.
During a media call last month, Tony revealed that along with coaching his son, Regal also wants to coach alongside some of his old friends in his golden years.
Khan talked with Regal and understood the situation, and wanted to do the right thing for Regal’s family (given how Khan is dealing with a personal family issue as well – his mother suffered 2 strokes recently), and agreed to grant him his release from the company, but after making some major changes to accommodate his request.
That’s when the idea of MJF turning on Regal was pitched.

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WWF Veteran Sniper (Real name: Luc Poirier) celebrates his 61st birthday today.
Most of us remember Poirier as Sniper, who was a member of the World Wrestling Federation faction ‘The Truth Commission’ in 1997 & 1998, but he was also a pretty big star in europe, where he was known as Rambo.
While he didn’t achieve much success, if any at all, during his WWF days, Rambo did become a 4 time CWA World Heavyweight Champion in AWA Legend Otto Wanz’s Catch Wrestling Association, which used to be Europe’s biggest promotion back in the day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNIPER!
