• Recently Released WWE Star Makes Surprise In-Ring Return (Video)

Kay Lee Ray made a triumphant return to Pro Wrestling EVE, picking up a win in her first match for the promotion since 2019.

The former Alba Fyre shocked the crowd by answering an open challenge issued by Molly Spartan. EVE officials cleverly set up the surprise by teasing her return all week, only to trick the live audience right before the match by sending out Abi Cartwright dressed up as a parody character named “Abi Fyre.” Just as fans thought they had been fooled, the real Kay Lee Ray walked out and ultimately won the match.

This was her first match since getting released from WWE in April. You can watch it below:

• SmackDown Results – 3 Returns, Team Breaks Up, Babyface Turn, Date For Next WWE Title Match

WWE SmackDown took place in Bologna, Italy and the show aired live on Netflix for international fans outside USA at 2 PM ET. In the United States, SmackDown will air at its usual time slot of 8 PM ET on the USA Network. Below are the complete results:

– SmackDown kicked off with Gunther tearing the announce desks and said he wants justice as his foot was under the bottom rope. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out and said Gunther is right. Cody said let’s do a rematch, and Sami Zayn came out. Sami said both Cody and Gunther did him wrong. Gunther told Sami to shut up and get out of the ring because this is WWE Championship business. Sami said he knows a thing or two about beating Gunther for championships. Zayn said he might be the biggest threat to Cody’s WWE Title reign. Sami questioned when is Cody going to teach him the lesson that Cody was talking about? A brawl broke out between the three men. Cody accidentally knocked down Sami with a dive after Gunther got out of the way. Cody offered a handshake, but Sami declined.

– The Miz tried to see what Danhausen’s experiment was, but ended up getting an electric shock.

– Backstage, Gunther told General Manager Nick Aldis to fix the WWE Title situation or Aldis will get sued.

Queen Of The Ring Tournament Fatal 4-Way Match: Raquel Rodriguez def. Kiana James, Bayley, and Jacy Jayne

During the match, Jacy attacked Giulia (who was at ringside to support Kiana). Kiana tried to pin Bayley by putting her feet on the second rope, but Jacy pushed Kiana’s feet away. Giulia then took out Jacy. Kiana thought Giulia pushed her feet off the ropes and began arguing. After the match, Kiana blamed her loss on Giulia and started pushing Giulia around. Giulia then turned babyface and laid out Kiana. Their tag team partnership is over.

– Backstage, Sami Zayn was talking to Johnny Gargano again when Nick Aldis showed up and told Sami to stay out of the WWE Championship picture. Chad Gable then made his return to WWE TV. Gable went into Nick’s office.

– Talla Tonga def. Royce Keys

The MFTs attacked Keys after the match, which led to R-Truth running out to make the save. The MFTs beat up Truth as well. Damian Priest showed up and pulled Truth out of ring and was angry about Truth making the save for Royce. Tama Tonga then continued his attack on Keys.

– Judgment Day celebrated Raquel Rodriguez’s victory. Liv Morgan said they’ll square off in the Queen of the Ring finals. Dominik Mysterio said he will win King of the Ring and Judgment Day will have all the gold.

– In a backstage segment, Damian Priest was arguing with R-Truth about why Truth shouldn’t have gone to the ring to help Royce Keys. When Priest left, R-Truth was confronted by new AAA Tag Team Champions The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar), who made their return to WWE TV. Erik challenged Truth to put the WWE Tag Team Titles up against their AAA titles. Truth said he has never seen Erik and Ivar a day before in his life.

– WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley said she got banged up at Clash In Italy, but is done with Jade Cargill now. Charlotte Flair came out and said she’s going to be the one to face Rhea for the title at SummerSlam. Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton came out and said she wants the WWE Women’s Title as well. Jade Cargill came out with Michin and B-Fab and wants to send a message right now. Since Rhea can’t compete and Alexa Bliss was assaulted by Jade last week and isn’t here right now, Charlotte proposed to team up with Tiffany (her former WrestleMania opponent who she doesn’t like) to face Jade and one of her “sidekicks.” Nick Aldis made the match official.

– Jade Cargill and Michin def. Charlotte Flair and Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton

Cargill pinned Stratton.

– Fatal Influence attacked WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella backstage.

– Royce Keys thanked R-Truth for having his back against The MFTs. Truth said Damian Priest can be a tough nut to crack and then went on to say the following:

“Once you get to know DP, you’re gonna loveeeee DP. I don’t even know if that’s PG.”

Truth said they should team up against The MFTs.

– Ricky Saints def. Carmelo Hayes

They are 1-1 against each other now.

– United States Champion Trick Williams said he is the king. Bron Breakker had a face-off with him.

– Chelsea Green met Tiffany Stratton backstage and said Tiffany should’ve called her so she could’ve had Tiffy’s back.

– Lash Legend (with Nia Jax) def. Chelsea Green

– Another vignette aired for Blake Monroe. Blake targeted Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton. Blake said:

“Tiffany Stratton, you are quite the star. Your rise to the top was very impressive. Looking at you is like looking in a mirror, which I do love to do. When we finally meet, it will be the box office event that fans are dying to see. But the difference between you and I is if you scratch just a little bit beneath the surface you’ll see a princess like you isn’t used to getting her hands dirty. Tiffy Time is about to run on Monroe minutes so run whilst you can because The Glamour is coming to SmackDown.”

– Solo Sikoa told Royce Keys that he’s the only one that cares about Royce:

“Roman made your boy Jacob kneel down like a dog. Jacob is gone. I’m the only family you’ve got left. Did your boy Jacob call you? You know who brought up Jacob here? Me. You know who made them champions? Me. That other side is good, but on this side, we need to get ready for war.”

– Chad Gable apologized to AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix for making a mockery of lucha libre. Prior to this, Nathan Frazer and Axiom wanted a shot at Fenix’s AAA Cruiserweight title.

Here’s what Gable said to Fenix:

“We had an awesome match last year at WrestleMania, but I did it under false pretenses. The longer I wore the mask, the more I realized this isn’t a joke. You’re taking on a responsibility to a culture, to people, to an entire nation, and I made a mockery of that. I’m sorry. I’m asking for forgiveness.”

– Nick Aldis told Cody Rhodes that Gunther will tell the stipulation for the Undisputed WWE Championship rematch next week. Cody said this rematch will take place in two weeks in Kansas City on the June 19th SmackDown.

King Of The Ring Tournament Fatal 4-Way Match: AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio def. Damian Priest, United States Champion Trick Williams, and World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker

JD McDonagh interfered in the match, but got chokeslammed by Priest. Priest was about to put Dirty Dom away, but Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan low-blowed Priest, thus helping Dominik pick up the win. Dom will now face Oba Femi in the Semi-Finals.
